What are these springs all about?
While grovelling around under the load area of our car I noticed these springs on the underside of the load area cover. Can anyone enlighten me please? Are they anything to do with the 7-seater option perhaps?

Does yours have the shopping bag holder? They look similar to what’s in the boot floor of my S80 and they are for the fold up bag holder.

I'm not familiar with that option, but I've done a bit of Googling and can't find anything that resembles what I've got. I'll have to do some more digging.

Was there a seven-seat option on the P3?

Possibly not - I may be thinking of the XC models.

Excuse my utterly filthy boot…
They’re the hinge for the fold up flap thing. |

Spot on! Thank you! I don't often explore the nether regions of the load area as it's kitted out with a load area cover, dog bed, blanket and towel for the dog. But yes, you're right, and I see the hooks (and strap) for shopping. We'd have to evict the dog if we wanted to use them though.
