Removed both front wheel hubs and replaced the ball joints.

I didn't know there was even a DIY fix for this issue. This is good news.

I was watching ericthecarguys latest video on youtube about brake calipers and went on to find some more info on them. Thought I'd post my findings here,

Had to drive 100yds along a flooded road, probably about 7 inches deep (had to drive the same stretch several times before) and somehow managed to pull of the plastic cover that runs down the length of the o/s underneath so spent 30 minutes fixing that back in place as it appears to cover some pipework and i didn't want that hanging down

A year ago I drove through a flood and drove over something big as I heard scraping down the length of the underside of the car. I had a look a few weeks later and found several gouges and some rubber grommets ripped off. Another time I went through a flood and I'm sure that's what cracked my exhaust manifold as it started blowing just after that. I can't imagine droppping a red hot peice of iron into cold water does it much good.

Oil and filter change. Thought my DIM had gone, (right sort of age car) but discovered it is the bulb. Went along to Halfrauds and acquired some more bulbs only to discover that they didn't sort it so think it is maybe the holders so have ordered some genuine ones from Volvo.
