I took my XC70 down to Feltham for an Autocar photo shoot - full on, in studio, mood lighting, every angle, the lot. It's moment of fame should appear in the Dec 8th issue.

CPC being a very reputable company to deal with.

EXACTLY - if you restrict your search for things like batteries you often pay much more than necessary - e.g many suppliers of LEDs in the UK can work out much cheaper than those sent from China

The passenger door mirror on the V70 wasn't heating up, according to VIDA. With the recent weather this has been confirmed, so popped it off to see if it was getting power. It is, so a replacement has been ordered off Ebay.

i found this with mine "not heating up or taking ages", until i hit a pigeon and the mirror popped out, turns out the heat pad was pealing away from the mirror, so i cleaned both parts and used superglue gel and now both are fine

Funny I had exactly the same thing yesterday. VIDA showed fault code DDM-0025 (Mirror motor signal missing). It's pretty obvious that the heating element is peeling away from the glass. A replacement from PFV is around £24 posted. Some on ebay are half that price, but at what expense? Volvo looking £60+ as are Eurocarparts. Will have a crack at fixing it this week.
