Question Bit of Dension fitting advice - Power XC90 2003

Hi Guys,

So looking at installing my Dension 500 and BTA1500 in my 2003 XC90, couple of things I could do with some advice on;

Battery disconnect:
Key to position 0
Wait 5 mins
Remove negative terminal

Battery reconnect:
Key to position II
Reconnect negative

Sound right?

Next positive power feed:
Most of the installs I see mention using the mini fuses on the ECM but I understand it requires constant 12v+? Also mine already has a 5amp in line fuse installed on the wiring supplied by Dension. How would you guys tap in? I've seen one video on Youtube where the guy taps a spade connector in to a spare fuse slot, is that safe? I originally purchased a 'Add-a-circuit' 20 amp rated piggy back unit but didnt expect the inline.

Just curious of best practice/advice on this (pictures would also be great)
Negative I plan to put behind a screw on the passenger door (I have one of those ring connectors I plan to solder on).

Many thanks in advance
Dan

There's no reason to wait 5 mins, by the time you walk from the drivers seat to the back of the car - that will be more than enough.

The battery should be reconnected with the key in Pos 0 - not I or II.

Mine has its 12 volt feed by using a spade connector in the holder. It's been in for over a year now and has been for me and the ends of a fuse are a spade anyway and it's not that you are shorting out a fuse so from a loading point of view it is also fine.
