Active bending headlights
A lot of xc60 s are fitted with active bending headlights. Having bought one of the last of the " old shape " xc60s and shipped it to France, i am now faced with replacing the headlights with a rh traffic version. This is because I have found out that there seems be two types of abl's. Main and dipped beam. The mains have shadow technology which blocks out part of the main beam for oncoming traffic. The dipped beam versions just bend around corners but has no shadow tech for the main beam.
The main beam version has a menu option for rh traffic which changes over the dipped beam for european use. The dipped beam abl dont. Rather than get into a debate about it, what I would like to know is if the part number for main beam abls have the same or a different part number than the dipped beam version. My headlight part number is 31420259 for the left and 314202060 for the right. Could any of you who have the main beam abl's confirm if your headlight part number is the same or a different one to mine. Of so what is your headlight part number? If the part number is the same on both then i could have the software updated so i can have the rh traffic option. If not , i know that the french part numbers are also going to be different between main beam and dipped beam abls and I will make sure i get the correct ones before handing over any dosh. Thanks

A bit more information. The part number can be found by opening the bonnet and looking at the rear top of the headlight . You will see the part number, lht( left hand traffic) and either lhs or rhs. IMG_1378.jpg
