Default Key Fob Battery Issue - 2013 V60

Evening all.

I replaced the two CR2430 batteries in both my fobs about 3 weeks ago. Reputable brand (Duracel) was used and up until today the main fob I use has been working better than ever.

When I turned the car on tonight, the 'low keyfob battery' info came up on the dash again. I find it really difficult to believe that 3 weeks is all it has taken to drain the fob battery.

I'm going to purchase another brand and try that in the first instance, however, I just wanted to see if anyone else had experienced this? These batteries are not cheap and I cannot imagine having to do this once a month.

The only thing I can think that may impace this is that both fobs are kept in a faraday box when not in use (for security). Unsure if the Volvo fobs will be constantly searching for the car and may drain quicker as a result?

I have same car, purchased recently, yet to get a problem with fobs but I note you had both in the Faraday box...you used the main one as you put it so the second one is still in the box ???
Has that gone flat too ???
If that is flat then either the Faraday box or duff batteries...if not flat then not the Faraday box....

The batteries are around 1.70 each in the local Half . but you can get them cheaper off the net in multiples ...

Thank you mate, honestly my head has been up my **** recently, the spare seems to be working absolutely fine so assessing its duff batteries. I've ordered replacements from Halfords and collect tomorrow.
