Default V70 Air quality sensor location

Hi all,
I been looking to replace my air quality sensor. I have opened the windscreen bonnet cover but I can not see where the sensor is located. I can see the passenger side air intake. This is Uk car is it supposed to be located at the driver side or passenger side? Thanks in advance

It's passenger side mounted inside the big air intake so just feel around.
It has a plug and wire on it and is the only thing in there so pretty easy to find.

Then it's a pre-facelift.

Facelift is late '04/early '05

I didn't know about cheap Chinese ones, may look at getting mine working in that case.

thanks for that. I been looking in flybay but I am struggling to find a cheap chinese alternative for the more expensive Hella one. Aparently a lot of people found models for other cars which would fit volvo for around £10~£15 in the past. I will keep looking....

Default Hella AQS

Hi,
I replaced my AQS a couple of weeks ago.
I have a pre-facelift V70.
After extensive searching I found one for £44 including shipping.
Genuine Hella part came from Germany. Website called Autodoc.co.uk .
They have 3 different sensors so you can look up the correct one for your car.
Took 5 days from payment to receiving part so not too bad.

Thanks for that . Unfortunatly they couldn't identify my car via the VIN number so we are unsure which hella sensor would fit my car...all hella sensors use generic .
I have now decided to buy Hella 6PX 012 684-041 It shows in a list as compatible.

Notes I took:
IAQS sensor (VAG part # 1K0907659) for pre-facelift cars.
Like a yaw sensor, these air quality sensors were new and the industry didn't bother addressing them.

p/n 08665059 is off a pre-facelift Volvo sensor.

p/n 31369324 is said to be for facelift cars (board member)

All info taken from the internet.

8674719 is news. Did it work?
