Default V50 2007 grille needed

Just bought this Volvo last week, thought I'd spotted all of the (admittedly very few) flaws, but missed the cracked Volvo badge on the grille which seems to be integral to the grille, anyone got a good spare?

On my pre-facelift car the section holding the badge pops off (not sure if yours is pre- or post- as 2007 was the changeover year), so if its just the badge you need you could probably just buy that piece.

I just got a whole grille for mine from ebay for £40 in decent condition. It's just clipped into place, needed a pry under the bottom edge and it came right off.

Thanks for that btjtaylor, rather than trying to pry same off and completely breaking it, anyone know the cut off VIN number for the facelift model? It was registered September 2007, but who knows the actual build date etc., thanks

Pre facelift the rear indicators are level with the rear window, face lifted cars have brake lights level with the rear window. Face lift cars also have the vertical sidelight bar in the front headlights. Mine is a 57 plate and is facelift. Hope that helps?

Mine is a facelift car then, assume the badge is integral or as one piece with the diagonal bar, correct or its the whole grille I need?

PS What other differences are there pre and post facelift?

Jasonb, another member answered this in 2011!

I know quite a few differences as I'm going through the application of face-lifting mine!

Differences:-

Front
Front Bumper
Front Grilles
Headlights are narrower and come with white or chrome internal bezels
Fog Lights and covers.
Front Bumper Spoiler

Rear
Rear Bumper
Rear Lights
Rear Bumper spoiler
Rear Reflectors
Rear Bumper load cover
Rear Lamp Holder
Rear wiring for lights and addition of LED Sides.
Rear boot handle and Volvo Badge (Letters Spaced), Handle has a chrome trim

Side
Door mirrors are always changing size and shape and the covers now have a slight ridge along the top
Side skirts are colour coded but on the R-Design the skirts are the same as the Sport model.
Wheel styles did change a little.

Interior
Internally the door cards now have slightly bigger storage space
centre console completely redesigned and new hand-brake lever.
I have a feeling that the roof console changed a little too?
R-Design dials are blue
R-Design leather seats are Black and White/cream.
R-Design supposedly does not have heated seats and has "thinner" leather covering.
Audio system has aux in or USB option if you omit the 6 CD option at purchase.
Boot Load cover design changed.
At some point the key fob changed, same shape but different button covers.
They wear out quicker too.

Something to be aware of, the audio system comes in different flavours.
Basic, High Performance, Dolby (and perhaps one or two more).
The basic system by all accounts (across all model years), is a bit pathetic.
Not an easy upgrade option as the radio integrates into the climate and computer.

That should cover the major points!

Personally speaking, you can always face-lift the older model externally, but do not consider the interior upgrades.

Good luck :-)
