Not for T8 though.
I would certainly be onto Polestar and see what they say about an upgrade etc, if you have had it installed, especially recently. |

Is this really a new Polestar map or is it just another angle on the existing Polestar?

It's basically the same map with more power going to the rear wheels. I have this map on my xc60 MY19 and as I understand it the map is only available on MY19 cars onwards.

as you know the T8 rear wheels are driven by the electric motor so you probably already have this kind of function .

Why only MY19 cars? My D4 is MY18, production week 48 i believe, and includes the Adblue. What exactly did they change that makes the update not applicable to MY18?
But interesting how they changed the torque distribution. Hopefully they gave it a nice bump within the reasonable capabilities of the Haldex system, but most likely still heavily front wheel biased. |

Agree this is just a plug by volvo. Their marketing probably felt the need to spend some money to bump the “sporting” credentials. It’s written by someone who must have heard about it for the first time (probably summer intern) and peppered with phrases that Volvo marketing needed to use.

If you go to the polestar web side, just done it for the xc60, and the D4 and D5 after wk 46 2017, have the same code as the 2019 models. So I guess the optimisation will be the same.

It is probably a modification / added to some existing maps,
I read that the Polestar division makes a huge profit, for what it does. |
