XC90 MY16 - beep whilst on phone call

I have just taken delivery of an XC90 MY16 D5 Momentum. Everything is great, however, I have noticed that when on a phone call, there is a beep that sounds periodocally which is quite annoying. The dealer doesnt know what it is, and therefore how to disable it. Has anybody else experienced this and if so what is the solution? thanks in advance.

Is this a phone generated beep re"Call Waiting" perhaps?

Volvo have for years prioritised the audio messages

When a high-priority audio message is occurring that should not be interrupted (such as an active phone call), and a lower priority audio wants to play (such as navigation instructions or radio traffic announcements) then the system will issue an alert BEEP to let you know you missed something

When you hear the alert beep, glance at the nav / instrument cluster to see what messages are appearing

You'll likely see nav instructions showing
Or a radio traffic announcement occurring

PS: the above happens in my MY2009 XC90, often it is the nav instruction vs traffic announcement conflict occurring

This happens, if you are on the phone whilst using the built-in Satnav, as the poster above has mentioned.

Every times there's an audio instruction from Satnav for the next turn, you'll hear a beep/sound during your phone call instead.

Much better than the Satnav instruction interrupting your call, but draws your attentuon to the next turn.
