Default Front Door Speaker

hi all, i have a blown front door speaker and i have the harman kardon sound.

does any one know if i can replaced the the speaker for a standard one ?

i assuming it's not the standard. does anyone know to get one saving me getting ripped of by the Dealers

Be careful - the HK system will produce much more power than the standard system can handle. And may, even, be a different ohm input rating. The worst that would happen, I would have thought, would be another blown speaker, though...

You do see occasional replacement HK speakers on Youtube.

Best to try and match the impedance of the speaker coming out. Adding a speaker with a higher impedance will not only sound quieter, but also be more difficult for the amp to drive/power. Meaning the Amp will be under more strain and is then more likely to fail.

Amplifiers have component protection too - meaning replacing the amp is more complex and expensive.

All my Dynaudio woofers blew in mine - I replaced best I could matching the ohms best I could. Fitted better quality ones to the front and cheaper ones to the rear.
