Default Xc60 d4(181) fwd auto 8 speed

Not that I am really obsessed or anything but I do like things to be correct.
My brochure suggests the 0-60 time for my new car will be 8.0 seconds and 0-62 (8.5 secs) which is slower than the D5. I have no problem with this as it is much more economical when I'm not doing 0-60 in a hurry.

However I did see on Volvo's website today that the new D4 FWD does 0-62 in 8.0 Seconds (0.1 faster than the D5).

Has it changed or do Volvo not check their website for accurate info..

Info on the Volvo site seems to change as and when for some reason - especially reference stats.

The official Volvo data sheet on the engines states that the 0 - 100 km/h for the new D4 VEA FWD 181hp is 8.5 seconds on both manual and geartronic.

https://www.media.volvocars.com/glob...4/documentfile

Click on technical specifications of XC60 2014 and you open a PDF data sheet. The FWD D4 in on page 3 with engine variant number - (D4204T5).

Which, given the accuracy of the other stats and information that exist for the XC60 probably means that it is actually 12 secs or more

Default 300Nm Torque

Sorry meant to put 400Nm of torque for the New D4 VEA

Wondered if torque was a fair comparison of ooomph, without getting too technical, and found this list interesting

http://www.autosnout.com/Car-Torque-List.php

or does it have something to do with weight?

Hello Considered,

There has been some conflicting info on 0 - 60 as some publication state 8.0 and other 8.5.

Having given mine a gentle 'nudge' on the reins a few times, it goes like hell and feels a damn sight faster than 8 seconds!! You will not be clock watching when you get yours, just grinning from ear to ear as the engine chomps through the gears and hits 70 before you know it. The engine sounds divine for a 4 cylinder (not having had experience of the 5 pot) and does sound a little like a V6 I used to own. Sedate and respectable when driving normally but has a split personality when given a nudge.

For a two ton vehicle it does surprise me that you can get that much power for a 4 cylinder engine. OK I may be making it sound like a sports car although all I can compare it to is 136HP V70 (which I thought was reasonably quick although you get used to what you drive).

Do any other owners think the same as me?

Default Power Kw

Think a list by power Kw would be more appropriate
