Hi all,

Took delivery of my XC60 SE this afternoon, very delighted but was surprised by the wheels. I was expecting the Valder 17" diamond cut with XC logo as standard as this is what I have seen on numerous pictures.

Mine have arrived as Valda plain alloys, so I just wondered if this was the norm.

Thanks Sean

According to the configurator, the Vader 17in wheels are standard on the SE, and the 18in Pan Alloys are standard on the SE Lux. Do you have the SE Lux?

Hi Sean,

They changed a couple of months back from a diamond cut finish to a normal more rounded finish without the XC.

Have just picked mine up on Friday with the same spec as yours.

The finish on the diamond cut wheels is not very long lasting so owners say. The Valder ones will give less trouble.

Thanks for replies all,

Explains why I have these, couldn't tell from the configurator and gave more attention to pics on google images.
Wish I'd realised as would have upped the spec but thought diamond cut looked quite smart.
Too late now as company leased car and would cost a fortune

I have the diamond cut ones. Very nice but they had to go in at 16k as three of the wheels had discoloured. Clean up nicely though.

I had diamond cut on my last car, after about six months I had to have 3 of them replaced because of the lacquer lifting, they were replaced under Peugeot warranty.
Look good but not as durable.

My XC70 has the diamond cut alloys which are just coming up to 3 years old and as good as new.

Its a shame everything gets downgraded, The XC logo was a nice touch. Are the inner surfaces of the spokes still painted?

It is disappointing that the wheels are no longer supplied as diamond cut as when I got my SE I thought that the diamond cut Valders looked better than the 18 inch options on the SE Lux.

On the other hand I'm not convinced about the longevity of them, I've already got some lacquer problems on mine in less than 2 years. If I keep the car long term I think they will eventually need powder coated at some stage....
