Default Annoying rattle

The car has developed a annoying rattle from inside the cabin to be precise sounds like around the steering wheel cowell and insrument binnacle any ideas on what it could be. Ill strip it down tommorow have a look.

Sounds metallic rather than plasticy noise, and it's defintly internal as opposed to external.

Does it happen in a particular rpm range ? I also have a little rattle sound around 2300rpm, have to check that, might be a wiggling bolt..

It's not mechanical I've stripped it down today tightened the steering wheel adjuster just in case, nothing else was loose either it's a mystery, unless it's comming from the door because I had to strip that out a while back to fix the window mech. Age never comes alone lol

Irony is I fitted a new door card yesterday lol so could of had a peak then lol

Funny, I've had a similar rattle appear recently. I wonder if it's weather related. It very much sounds like it's in behind the dash. I'm hesitant to remove anything for fear of creating lounder rattles. I'm going to live with it until it gets worse!

You say the rattle is metallic, so probably not your answer, but my glove-box lid rattles - I stick a small foam pad at the top to keep it held firm, but every so often this drops off...

David, there should be two small round rubber stops on the dashboard, where the glovebox rests. Check it you have them. It might be possible that you are missing yours
