Default R-design grille badge replacement

Hello again,

Might be a daft question but here it goes.....

Thought I would replace my faded R-design badge on my C30(57) and although I like genuine parts I thought I would go with a cheaper alternative as it was only £8 and it looks spot on, however I'm a little confused as the item came with an adhesive strip even though the badge itself is aluminium and appears to have two little screw threads on the back of it. I'm thinking if it is a simple peel and stick it's not really going to survive a wash, so any suggestions? Anyone bought this type of badge before and if so how did you go about making sure it stayed secure through exposure to the elements?

I bought one from Amazon for about that price. I did stick it on to the position where the other one sits and it seems fine (touch wood).

I couldn't be bothered to take the bumper off again to try fix it on better.
