Default £275! '94 Volvo 850 T5 estate auto with MOT!

It's a sad time but the trusty T5 has to go. The auto gearbox gave up the ghost towards the end of last year and now it's been sat on the drive. I started it a few times over xmas and it was fine mechanically, but tried to start it recently and she's dead. Suspected inhibitor switch or immobiliser prob.

So, it's for spares or repairs.

L-reg 1994
Car is SORNed.
MOT expires April 5th 2012.
Gear-box failed (initially wouldn't select reverse) and now seems to be locked regardless of selector position (so car cannot be towed unless front wheels raised). Complete fluid change when first noticed problem but didn't solve.

Engine was running OK with plenty of power (slight puff of blue oil-smoke sometimes on over-run when engine still warming up: worn turbo seals?) until put off road by gear-box failure but now won't start (fuel pump doesn't run/ starter doesn't crank engine: failure of ECU/ ignition system??)

Current speedo reading 92,165 miles (new speedo fitted at 130,607, in 08/2002) so total mileage from new 222,772 miles.

Cambelt changed at 63,857 miles in 02/2007 (28,300 miles ago, so good for another 51,692 miles).

'New' second-hand rear wiper motor/mechanism fitted 2010ish.
Windscreen replaced 04/2011.

5 alloy wheels and Tyres all good - will check tread depth & add.

'New' second-hand ABS pump fitted (just before gearbox failed!).

Black heated leather seats slightly crazed in places (not torn/split/ cracked through anywhere) and recently fed with special leather balm.

Driver's seat electrically adjustable/ 3 position memory working OK. Heated front seats stopped working: not fuse (checked) so no idea why.
Carpets generally good (Volvo mats probably fitted by first owner, so carpets protected). As usual driver's mat and carpet below is most worn/ stained.
Head-lining quite clean and un-damaged for an old estate.

Electric window winders all working.

Doors all in good condition.

Some corrosion in front wings above bumper (esp driver's side).
Rear bumper mountings corroded ('new' secondhand ones available to fit, along with towbar and rear exhaust hanger.)

FOR SALE BY SEPARATE NEGOTIATION:
Factory Volvo towbar + fitting bits.
Various ECUs and control modules.
Haynes manual.

Sorry I WON'T break it. I don't have the time.
LOCATION: Taunton, Somerset. Buyer collects within 10 days.
PRICE: £275
