Gosh, that's really sneaky. It's the kind of amateur security dodge which works surprisingly well, as you have proved!
I found another one once in a classic car I had just bought from a friend. There was a loose switch in a tangle of wires at the back of a glove box. My friend knew nothing about it, but it was in fact a break in the positive supply from battery to coil. I found its purpose by accident - I wonder what this switch does, probably nothing? Engine cut out. |

Mother Julian of Norwich - 'All will be well, and all will be well, and all manner of thing will be well'. One of the 'wells' might be 'shall', use of the emphatic would seem appropriate, but I'm sure you can check that, Stephen.
