Other XC90 Problem: - 0A31 dtc only

Hi guys an gals just bought a 2009 xc90 d5 and going into limp home mode no lights on dash only 1 dtc set in transmission 0A31 control module communication signal missing from engine control module was driving fine appears to still be running OK just no power any comon places to be looking?

Fault has been found and fixed turns out the previous owner had it remapped (poorly) they had maped it for power and meant to have mapped out the egr valve but the software was incorrect now running perfect
