I got these for the back, of The first set one broke (physically snapped in half when fitting) but the seller replaced and sent me a spare so i ordered another 2 and now have my rear running lights (not brake lights) all LED and a spare bulb, seem fine thus far.

Again i got this link off MVR so assume he is using the same

gonna say, not sure I'd trust LEDs in my brake lights, and not sure they'd be road legal anyway - although obviously I do have a big LED strip across the boot hatch already so can't be THAT bad!

7 months guarantee is reassuring - I'm sure they'd fail before that if they were going to fail. I'm spending at least 2 quid a year on new bulbs so even with 4 tail lights in the V40, it's not exactly a good investment to do them all... will just buy one as a tester, and wait for the next bulb to fail

Rang FRF, they found the same as we did - no sign of a strap for the diesel models so it's either buy a whole cap and strap from PFV for £15, or just go to Poundstretcher and buy a stretchy keyring for £1 and tie that on instead. Or wait for one off a wreck, probably easiest.

Oh... how strange. Just went to checkout on PFV just out of interest, and it's only asking me to pay £11.61 including delivery for the cap incl strap. Sod it, I'm ordering one!

EDIT: ah, now it's adding VAT and postage, £17.61 total, hahaha, never mind I'm not that desperate

Duct tape oughtta do it.

Those look exactly the same as the ones I bought for my taillights, x4 here from China for £2.39. These are 5W only so good for the Phase 2, I seem to remember the Phase 1 uses 5/21s somewhere.

Took 9 days to get here, so far working fine but they do seem to give a whitey-blue glow just along the edge of the clear bit of lens (where the reverse cluster is). Not sure why, the bulbs went into the holders ok, need to investigate.
