  • VOC Members: There is no login facility using your VOC membership number or the details from page 3 of the club magazine. You need to register in the normal way

howdo to all,,,whats happening to my post!!!,,all this mass-debateing (nopun intended)lolol,,, about the pros /cons of of the EGR,,i am not going to blank it off,,(justyet),,will be happy if/wen I get it running,,,so,,the day was going good,(to good)???,,was doing the last nut on the turbo and this happened,,pic1....!!!!£$&%*$$%",,,AAAAaaaahhhhgg,, ,if and wen I get it out can I just put a nut and bolt on it instead of a new stud and bolt,????,,,manythanks.

I originally mis-read your post and thought you were suggesting we are a group of w*nkers.

Seriously, getting back to the nuts. Once the turbo is off, it looks like there will be enough stud protruding to get a purchase on it. If you are lucky two half nuts tightened on to the stud and you might be able to undo, or mole grips, vice etc. once the stud is out a bolt of the right length will do or a replacement stud and new nut so it is still original.

I also done this a while back removing a turbo, little bit of heat and a stud extractor got mine off, should be easy sorted
