The difference between LHD & RHD is that the valves are essentially a mirror image. LHD outlet is on the right of the valve (3 o'clock position), RHD is a 9 o'clock
Yes that Skandix one is a LHD, it's the same new one I have in the photo's in my original post.

Bloody hell! More than 10 available according to the listing!

Part number not helping, in the official parts catalog its listed as

3537056-8 (LHD)
6848196-9 (RHD)

with no revisions or replacements...

Agreed - I saw it was a German site so assumed it was LHD. Too bloody confusing!

That thread from 2016 would suggest the £60 valve is a rhd non air con one.

Yeah that would have been me. No news on duty, will let you know.
If it turns out to fit/be good quality maybe a group buy would be in order to cut down on shipping costs.
