Default Cracked windscreen

Went to my xc40 this morning, crack in the windscreen from the rain sensor going down the screen, not there last night and no sign of anything having hit the screen. Any other members heard of anything like this? Awaiting reply from Volvo.

There might be a tiny chip in the silkprint; often missed and easily explains the damage.

Heat can be a factor especially if the car was under direct sun or heat for long periods.

Stress fractures are very rare.

Thanks for the reply, found the tiniest of chips right at the top of the screen, and is has been very hot so that could explain.
