Tyres worn at 22k (Michelin Prim 3)
Is it normal from front tyres to be worn out after 22k miles? This feels very low. I inflate my tires to eco setting (38) and mostly drive on the motorway. The tyres were Michelin Prim 3, now replaced with Prim 4.

Did they wear evenly across the tread?

i have a V40 T2 with Michelin Energy tyres. Front tyre recently replaced after a puncture and 4mm tread left after about 25,000 miles. Original front Michelins replaced at 25,000 miles with about 3.5mm tread. Car is still on original rear Michelins at 51,000 miles. I use the standard tyre pressure of 33psi.

They did back when I first started driving...but they were down to the canvas by then (just kidding - people changed them when there was 1-2 mm left).

The "eco" pressure is nonsense - 38psi is way too high i feel for a 225/45 tyre. I run mine at 32 all round!

Don't you only need to run the tyres at 38psi if its loaded, like with a full boot & passengers?
There's no point running 38psi just toddling around yourself with no weight in the vehicle as such, apart from what's in the fuel tank & your own weight... Correct?

Volvo quotes the higher 'eco' figure and has done for a while.
