Default XC60 Nut Cap Covers

Just noticed a number of wheel nut cap covers have vanished - I imagine after 4 years of being flung around they tend to let go...

Any recommendations on where to find replacements - I bet the Volvo ones are expensive compared to the ones I've seen on Amazon.

The colour of mine is grey/silver.

Any help appreciated.

Spooky, I've just bought a full set after I was missing a few. Plus those remaining were tatty. I found a seller on flea bay was selling Volvo covers individually, they weren't cheap. I found another seller who claimed to be selling a full set of 20 Volvo covers and it worked out to be much cheaper. 4 bolts per wheel use one type of cover, the locking nuts use a different one!
When I got the full set, the covers for the locking nut had the Volvo marks on them, the others didn't. In any event they all fit fine and click into place. A tool is needed to take them off. The only ones that may fling off could be the ones that go on the locking bolt.
If you want further details of what I bought, send me a pm, (I don't want to break any rules.) On closing, the guy's postage rates were stupid, the package and contents weighed 91g and it should have been no more than £3 postage.

Full sets including standard caps, locking nut caps and removal tool available on amazon for around £8.
Dont know what the quality is like, but I could do with getting a set too.

I lost several of these on my XC60 within the first couple of years. The replacements were obviously a re-design and have a 'split' cup that appears to grip behind the bolt rather than the original ones that are just an interference fit. The re-designed ones will not fit the locking wheel nut bolt so that one is still an interference fit.

Thanks for this information. I thought the caps go "missing" during wheel balancing/rotation.

But it seems as if they are randomly thrown off.

Knowing that in addition to the 5 missing after 2 years more will be lost over the next few years, it then makes sense to buy a full set.

Locally, Volvo sells the set of 20 for the equivalent of GBP20.

I've lost several so I just took the rest off and threw them all away.... pain in the ar8e when you have to change a puncture in the rain by the roadside.

Put a smear of vaseline inside them, stops them coming off. My 33 year old golf GTi still has all her originals.

For anyone interested, here are a few numbers I've retrieved from the wheel nut covers I've got. Deeper ones are 31423631 (and have PA66 on them?) Ones for the locknuts have 31664352 or 31664353 on them. Other numbers found on covers are 31423670 and 31660919.
