Thanks for that piece of advice. I'd never noticed that! Initially was very difficult to connect the towing eye with the wheel brace but a little spray grease on the threads and now it works a treat.

I’m sure it must be in the manual somewhere, but who needs a manual the change a wheel!!
When I changed my first wheel I was appalled by the size of the brace, but intrigued by the thead. A few minutes later - bingo!!
I do think they could make it more obvious, such as a colour coded end on both or a sticker. Such a nice bit of thoughtful engineering which appears to go un-noticed.

Thanks for all the info guys !

So, did a bit of research on the car and its apparently a 2012 model but was registered in Jan 13 hence why was getting some wrong info. It seems to be running the D5204T3 engine so its a 163 BHP, no polestar options but Ant B mentioned a Remap could give it a good boost. Will need to see if it actually needs it, it drives well but there is a bit of lag between the gears in the auto so it may smooth it out slightly.

Have notice the brakes and not amazing which is always a good thing to consider when making it go faster... it is a big heavy wagon though.

The bad news is I actually got a flat at the weekend..... couldn't actually believe it. Had the tireweld glue in the car so gave that a go but it was a nail through the tread and out the side of the tirewall so didnt do a great job. New tyre and had to delay my trip home till the next day and 115 Euro lighter from the rural garage near where was staying. Sods law or something like that !

Need to get a space saver in case lightning strikes again. Thought may give someone a chuckle.
