Default Phone mounts ?

have any of you found Decent mounts for a V50 for phones ?
Brodit do some adapters for the V50 , but no cradle for my phone so im looking at options peeps may have found

Not interested at all in "stick on the windscreen" crap, Ditto "bodge onto airvent" things.

toying with the idea of using the Large panel on the light/mirror/sunroof cluster control as a mount point for a Proper cradle for the sat nav, (if i can find a 12v ign switched live with 2a fuse ) has anyone found any "ah" things using that as a mount ? as its Not in the line of sight, the huge mirror is badly sited as it is in these

i dont look at the satnav screen i use the voice prompts

Yeh out of all the mounts I have had the one I have now is the simplest and best by far.

Just a magnetic circle that sticks to your dash and one on the back of your phone and it sits nicely where you want it. I have mine set just under the front center vents, almost like an inbuild satnav now.

Similar to the one below but mine is more like 2 small coins.

I highly recommend brodit mounts, they make custom mounts to fit most cars

I have just installed the air vent mount into my V50, unfortunately I have an obscure phone (Honor View 10) so I can't get a bespoke mount and have to use the generic one which is still nice and secure but if you have a more popular phone (e.g. iphone, samsung galaxy) with an integrated plug that holds the phone perfectly. It's not like the cheap mounts that clip onto the air vent it's custom designed for the car to slot into the gaps around the trim.

They are pricey but worth it in my opinion as they don't fall off and hold your device securely

Here's a link to the brodit site where they show the different mounts that they offer. You have to purchase the "proclip" for your car which is a blank plate and then a separate mount that bolts to it https://www.brodit.com/productList.h...r=2004&pn=prod

Sorry I just realised you mentioned brodit mounts in your original post

I use the generic brodit mount with my phone, works fine with a bit of adjustment. They do other sizes too to fit different phones

aye im a huge "brodit" fan used them for years with older phones
they do make one for mine, but its on a 10+ days lead time and £69.99+post for Just the cradle, (hardwired) ,,

ill have a play about over the week ahead, plans to use an older phone as a dedicated satnav (co-pilot) and its brodit mount + the sunroof / cabin lights cluster ,, there looks to be space on the Big flat plate to mount it, and IF there is a suitable 12v ign switched feed up there (should be) ,,,
