For sale. Saffron V70 R - 1997 - 132k
Hello
Im thinking of selling my v70 r. I've had it a year but i'm after a bmw 330d. As you can see from the pictures its in very good condition and low mileage (for one of these) This has the seven seat conversion in the boot. I bought the car in need of a new sump as the original was cracked and weeping oil. That has been done 10 months ago along with new coil pack, service and new spark plugs. As the previous owner had the insurance involved it is marked as 'substantially repaired' on the log book although it has had the all important VIC check. If you know your v70's you know how well spec'd these cars are. extremely comfortable and an amazing engine! I've always been a flat four fan but the engine noise in the v70 r is wonderful. It is extremely fast and I suspect its been mapped at some point. My butt tells me 270bhp. MOT till december 2012 and tax 29-feb-2012 Pretty much a full service history as follows 8 miles - 1997 4,779 miles - 1997 10,046 miles - 1998 19,949 miles - 1998 29,904 miles - 1998 41,175 miles - 1999 50,429 miles - 2000 58,819 miles - 2001 70,097 miles - 2002 88,064 miles - 2004 97,231 miles - 2004 paperwork between 120,724 miles - 2010 125,876 miles - 2011 (full service, sump, plugs, oil&filter, coil pack) (myself) All brake discs and pads replaced inc handbrake shoes (apec brakes) 127,786 miles - 2011 ('gates' cambelt and aux belt) (myself) Plus a folder full of invoices and receipts. It will need a couple of hundred spending on it. The front bumper is cracked (see pictures) and the sunroof needs replacing. Ideally a straight swap with a scrapyard job (about £50-£60) Also there is a power steering leak which means topping up every now and then. Worst case its the rack itself which is £140 for a re-condition. Lastly and more irritatingly a kind person reversed into the passenger door and drove off. It will push out and has not damaged the paint apart from a slight scuff but means taking the door card off. Also two scratches on the bonnet have been filled and are noticeable up close. This is a very nice car that has been well looked after. A bit of love and a couple hundred pounds will have it mint again. 30mpg is realistic on a long run. 25mpg elsewhere. The black grill in the pictures is now a original fit (chrome) These go for between 2-2.5k on all the well known sites. I'm after £1700 but open to offers as I appreciate it needs the above items doing. Remember its not a new car and as with any older car there are the odd signs of use. Drivers bolster slight wear on piping, steering wheel and small trolley dink in rear quarter. enjoy the pictures! Joe 07944 551473 If you want any other photos give me a call or request on here. Joe |
