Default 1988 240GLT and loads of bits

I am reluctantly selling my 1988 240 GLT because of overseas work commitments. I had in intentions of doing a 16 valve turbo conversion with it but due to my ever increasing workload I just haven’t had the time to complete the project. It’s a graphite grey 88 GLT saloon. It used to be an auto but I gave it an M47 5speed gearbox.B230e 165,000 miles, flat flywheel and 850 e-fan conversion. 5 gauge dash, outside temperature, oil temperature, oil pressure, voltmeter, and clock. R sport steering wheel. Snow caps. Upper strut tower braces. IPD adjustable torque rods with poly bushes. All suspension is poly bushed except trailing arm to body bushes but I have them new in a packet, just not had time to fit them.Bilstien shocks all round (touring not HD ). 205-60-15s with good tread on Virgos. Taxed and tested until end of June. Box full of receipts and paperwork. Small ding on top of drivers side wing. Slight bubbling on inside lip of rear arch. And a small rust hole in upper drivers side sill but an easy repair, but otherwise in good condition for a 22 year old car.
I also have over the past few years collected quite a few other bits that I need to go as well. 16 valve head complete with manifolds on a b230 block with 16 valve pistons fitted. T3 garret turbo on manifold. 940 wiring loom. New 240 brake backing plates.530 head with VX3 cam. A complete B230 engine with flat top pistons, mildly ported and polished head with a Kent cam L4 profile cam (quite rare and very wild). 240 radiator (used). Group A 242 turbo sump guard made by Gartrac. 5x Virgos with Pirelli gravel tyres fitted, good for the snow and a whole load of other little bits like gauges, brake masters, pulleys ,engine mounts, pipes,4 pot callipers, inlet manifolds and more.
I’m asking £1500 for the lot.
Cheers

Hi Rhys,I can't send a PM due to lack of posts.Sorry but the snow caps go with the car i'm afraid.I looked through the pile of reciepts i've got and the man who had it before me bought them from IPD usa for $50 including shipping.Try Eruopean Tuning as they deal with IPD USA and the shipping is cheaper from the netherlands.Thats where i had the adjustable torque rods from and it saved a fortune.Hope this helps

Thanks for the tip clitti, whoever buys this is getting a smoking deal, I'm well over £1500 into mine and it's not half as nice! I certainly wish I had the space for it. The R-sport wheel is a real find, I've seen them go for 400 dollars on US ebay!

I'm looking to move all of the stuff in one go as to try and give someone with a bit more time the chance to have one helluva car.Someone who loves these 240s as much as i do is bound to be out there somewhere and where else would you find that someone apart from here.

Looks very smart ... but is it possible for you to post some interior pictures of the seats etc... im guessing that the drivers seat is suffering the usual sagging that comes with age ?

No probs.I'll take a few and post them on here. The seat is'nt really sagging but the stiching has come apart, thats it really. Also if anybodys thinking" how do i get the parts home with me" then i came up with the soloution.I have a box trailer that i could fit everything in and the lucky buyer could just hitch it up to the GLT and drive on.My new 106 diesel and my wifes S60 don't have tow hitches so theres no point in keeping it really.Interior photos will be on in due course.
Thanks

Heres a few interior photos to have a look at.I included the drivers seat rip,but apart from that the interiors in pretty good nick.As you can probably see the handbrake lever and lower quarters on the dash are still biege, the whole interior was at sometime probably, but they allways look nicer in black.

I've found two LSD's for 1030-1031 in the shed too, they have broken crosspins but could be repaired.
Thanks for looking.
