Question how do you replace the battery

yes i know this is probably the dumbest question of the day.

got out to car yesterday - wont start - dash lights etc all dim - decided to get battery out and take to halfrauds to test.

anyway, popped bonnet, removed neg + pos, i can see a clip retainer at the base of the battery, but the battery seems solidly in still, how does this retainer remove?

hiya

ok the retainer sort of curls off.

grab the top and pull towards the front of the car and then, IIRC you need to slide the battery to the left a little to remove it.

DONT drop the retainer...

cheers
