Wing Mirrors whilst reversing
A comment in another post reminded me of a strange thing that I am sure someone knows how to resolve
When I push the button for the mirror when reversing the mirror moves to the reversing position, which is not correct for me If I adjust the position then allow the mirror to go back to normal driving mode it will return to the incorrect reversing position next time I try to use it. Any ideas how to get the system to remember the correct driving position AND the correct reversing position? |

I´m just guessing now, but if you try setting the car in revers, adjust the mirror(s), and then press memory and your position 1,2 or 3. (If you have an electric seat)
maybe that will work |

not sure but i thought it is linked to the key fob you are using (at least that was meant to be true for our V50 for the mirror position (and seat) in general).

There are three memory positions linked to your electric drivers seat, and one linked to each of the two keys. You can set which takes precedence I believe in the car settings on the dashboard by using the menu. A quick check in the user manual will confirm which way you would like to set them, and the route through the menus.
You can also set whether to use that rear mirror adjust or not. |

In thing I tried that as that would it definitely be logical for it to work this way, seem to recall that it didn't work - but I also think that the wife may have swapped the keys over, so worth trying again

I adjusted the mirrors this morning at my house whilst in reverse, hit the memory button, then drove to work where I lowered the mirrors to the reversing setting whilst getting into my parking space - guess what?
The had lost the settings that I had made at home Any ideas - how have you guys managed to get your personalised setting for reversing stored? |

Not ideal but a workaround ........ If you are not using memory 3 ....... keep the seats the same and adjust the mirrors down as if thats how you were going to drive the car (so dont worry about putting in reverse etc) and save that into memory 3..... then when you want to dip your mirrors to reverse just hit memory 3 ..... and then hit your normal memory button to drive away ..... like i said its not ideal but should work !
Cheers |

Finally got an answer from Volvo Tech on this - the XC60 does not support reversing mirror position memory, this is an option with the s60 only
