Volvo RTI unit WITH broken laser
I am looking for a DVD RTI unit (03 vintage) with broken laser, I have a working unit with broken disc eject mechanism.

Hi Marcel,
I have recently bought an S80 D5 Executive '04 with RTI and RSE fitted. Whilst having the car checked over at my local dealer I was asked if I would be interested in buying a set of SatNav disks, as I didn't get any with the car. I said yes, but when the disk was installed got a message saying, ' unable to read disk'. He tried a couple more and got the same message. Needless to say, I didn't purchase the disks. My question is, therefore, is my unit broke, or just need a clean? Have read somewhere about software upgrades etc. so am now quite confused. Also, I don't seem to have any power to the DVD player or screens. As I don't have any operating instructions for the RSE system am at a loss here too. I do get sound for TV but that is all. Again, I don't know if the system is broke, a fuse has blown, or anything. It seems difficult to get information about this system, even from the dealers. Thanks in advance. Newbie owner. |
