I wouldnt bother the way the ECU is mapped the car will run rich each time the dump valve operates and that isnt ideal for the engine. Fit a cone filter and you can here the standard recirc valve anyway apparently.

It will still run fine but evertime air is dumped the car will run rich for a moment. Its not the best thing for it and not mapped for the loss of air.

I've had a dump valve on mine since i got it and its never hurt it, altho am running recirulation valve on turbo and a dump valve cos been a phase 2 it wouldn't idle right,

Does it matter if it runs rich, it will help cool combustion chambers and if its decatted might even pop flames on gear changes altho mine never has

I think as long as its a twin-piston dump valve, you should be just fine. As already mentioned, the occassional "rich running" period when upshifting does not really do the engine any harm; the worst that will happen is it will throw the engine management light with a DTC (bank X running rich etc.) which may need to be reset.
