Well that's a start, it is shifting but sometimes not. Can you get the codes read too? Also things to check are the MAF, boost actuator could be sticking, air leak in vac pipes.

This next bit is anecdotal but I found BP Ultimate to be a tad crappy compared to Vpower or Momentum, More fuel used and a tad under powered.

Hi guys

I have plugged the car into my OBD11 reader, very basic one, and this has thrown up code P0107, the MAP sensor. As my car has two of these sensors, could a faulty one be giving me the symptoms seen?

Many thanks

Thanks all for your help

Did you check for any air leaks in the air intake pipe where the map sensors are located as this could cause an inaccurate reading

Now I’m no expert on autos but I can only assume that the kickdown is activated by a number of sensors one being throttle position then probably a speed sensor and also inlet vacuum pressure therefore if the map sensor is shot this will not be sending the correct info to ecm to activate the kickdown this is purely a theory of mine and I can not confirm this as factual just my 2 pence

I did check for air leaks and found nothing unfortunately. Would have been a cheaper fix

Re the kickdown i'm not sure TBH, does anybody else have any thoughts?

May be a bit late, but when there is poor response, it tends to be a split air hose somewhere. You can check by lightly squeezing them to see a split. Also, tighten up the clips because any loose, the air pressure cause air blow out past the connections causing the same problems.

Make sure the transmission is not in unintentionally in 'W' (winter mode). Mind you, if it is you should see a yellow arrow warning light on the dashboard.
