Default Key Stuck

Hi Guys

Just picked up a 2008 Volvo V50 2.4 Manual

Starts fine etc, Just got it home and I could not get the key out. I pressed the clutch in and out, brake little fiddle and it come out.

Then I thought I must be doing something wrong put it back in, started first time etc, switched it off went to remove it and stuck. after some time faffing about it come out.

Any one can shed some light on this? am I suppose to be doing something for the key to come out?

Also the spare key is on the same key ring, would this make a difference?

Any help would much be appreciated. thanks you

Could be that you need a new ignition barrel/switch. I'm sure there has been a thread on here regarding this issue, just do a quick search.
