Start Prevented try again
Default Start Prevented try again
I got this message on my 05 xc90 this week and the car would not start. All the electrics seemed fine. I disconnected the battery, reconnected and it worked. Gone to drive it today, I didn't get the message but it wouldn't start. I have tried everything the internet has suggested but still no go. Is it Antenna ring, wiring from ring to Ecu, starter motor wiring,CEM or other. Any ideas on where to start looking? Ta Jon |

You've posted in the 2014 onwards section so you may get more responses in the appropriate section: http://www.volvoforums.org.uk/forumdisplay.php?f=37
The Start Prevented message is a sign of the transponder signal not being picked up when the key is turned. If it happens with the second key, it may be sign of a problem with the antenna around the ignition switch. |
