Default Cem interchangeability?

Hi all, I'm going to do the checks later but I'm pretty sure my cem has packed up as I've lost a headlight and it's not the bulb, but just wondering if the one from my 02 t4 would fit my 52 2.0, I know both cars are P2, however, the dash clocks and ignition key in the t4 are the same early style as my 99 P1 had, and the se has the later style with the Speedo and rev counter on the opposite sides, plus this car has the flip key, unlike the t4, which has the seperate fob and regular key, I may well be barking up the wrong tree here, but while I've got the t4 sat there doing nothing I figure it's worth a shot.

EDIT: Just did the multimeter test, just over 12v with no bulb plugged in at the holder, 0v with it plugged in.

If the cem from the t4 won't fit then is there anything stopping me from buying a simple relay and using the feed from the other side headlight to trigger it?

Thanks in advance

Most probably, both cars have the same CEM, 30621305. In that case you are good to go. Just pop out the footwell cover and check the part numbers.also, if it helps, I refurbish CEMs and offer a 5 year guarantee, so if you want to go down that way let me know. Or if you go ahead and swap your CEMs, I don't mind buying the faulty one off of you

Cheers Gatos, although I've just remembered that the t4 has HID units and the se doesn't, I'll check the part numbers anyway though, cheers

CEM is the same irrespective of whether the car has HID or standard headlights

It was literally plug and play, I've had to use some pieces of rubber to secure the reflector for now as changing the bulb 3 times has utterly mutilated whatever held it to the housing, it was floating around and pointing nearly at the floor, I've got it in the right place anyway, dipped looks good both horizontally and vertically, plus full beam is bang on in position too, a proper repair on that is a job for another day, thanks again Gatos, I'll let you know what I'm doing with the other cem, I'm still in a rock / hard place situation what to do with the t4, I'll decide one day lol

Broken bit is the headlight adjuster. You can get it from this guy on eBay. https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?m...2F323856175127

Bought them myself 4-5 years ago and still going strong

There is also a guide in the articles section of how to replace the headlight adjuster

If you do get your CEM refurbished, I can't recommend Gatos highly enough! Great price and top service 👍

I'm just wondering as I just found out my CEM is faulty, what would be the quickest way to get a replacement? As I want my headlights to be working again and it's really sketchy to drive when it's getting dark. Live in Ireland for reference.
