Volvo 240 Dyno run at JPR Tunning
Just thought Id share with everyone My Volvo 240 Dyno run at JPR Tunning, YATE. John and Harry are top blokes.
I have just completed a little revive of my 1987 2.3 Auto, along with full service stuff, its now running -38/38 dgms (supplied by the crooks at Classic Carbs UK in a specific kit for the car, believed to be a fake and chucked together with jets from the pic n mix. Never using them again) anyway, -123 distributor, Bosch coil, leads and plugs -Mishimoto electric fan -Volvo 740 Header (couldn't wait for the 4-2-1 that took 4 time longer than it should have, for sale in '200 series sales') -egr and airbox delete plus a ton of welding and some tarty bits (shame that doesn't add anything other than passing the MOT and pleasing the eye) Anyway after agonising over a gaping hole in the throttle at 2.5/3k (assumed idle jet and main jet size issue) I took it to JPR TUNNING, who kindly squeezed me in on a Saturday morning at late notice. This un assuming duo know what they are doing is all I need to say. Diagnosed, and fixed just like that. Sorting out the ridiculous s*** mix of jets they provided, and some spot on tweaking improved the running 100%. worth their weight in gold. For those interested 160 main jets F50 Emulsion tubes 55 idle jets 185 air correctors Running 13.5 afr at idle dropping to 12.3 ish at WOT Couldn't have asked for better results, and for those wondering 143bhp on a 4th gear overdrive engaged pull and 136bhp on an overdrive disengaged run. Around 150ft/lb torque. MPG to follow Hind sight, should have waited to do all this till now of course. Garden and house work it is. |
