I have an original rear hub which I replaced - unnecessarily as it turned out - when trying to track down a noise that turned out to be tyres due to rears out of alignment.

It is old, yes - done about 85000 miles - but as far as I can tell perfectly fine.

If you'd like it for a small sum plus postage, let me know!

As far as I know (unless anyone on here can correct me?) it's a standard size across the range. The one I have is off my T4.

Let me check postage cost (Royal Mail - gulp!, and MyHermes) and I'll get back to you asap....

Be prepared to feel silly - I bought a set of hook fitment ones and blindly thought it would be a hook on the back so was dashed when I realised it didn't fit. Timmytarmac showed me that you can take the hook fitment off, just pull it out, it clips off and there you have the spindle which fits perfectly. I felt silly

That doesn't work with the cheap eBay aero blades -- they come with a "spoiler" on top of the blade, and a removable plastic cover on the fitment, both of which obstruct the plastic V40 arm fitment cover, which is pretty wide and bulky. Some of the aero blades do have shorter spoiler covers, which do fit better, but still not very well and they can pop out easily, although not when sprung against the window (so far -- touch wood).

I've completely dismantled one of these aero blades which is how I know they don't fit still, that's less of an issue for the back so just going for Bosch next time and stick to using aeros on the front.

Annoyingly they are all marked as "refillable" which would be great if you could buy refills....

I brought this set off ebay

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Volvo-V40-...item460ba2eaa0

Thought if its rubbish then never mind but I've actually had no problems with them fitted without any problems no smearing and still going.

They're the ones I use - there's a few different versions of them but they're all basically the same design. I got 2 years out of the first set I bought, and I have a feeling they were from Redline, although have struggled to find the email receipt. They're pocket change to replace if they get a nick in them or start smearing/squeaking.

NB: I'm sure the front wiper blades should be 20"/21" not two 20"

Which makes this quite strange:

Very strange indeed, BM.

I put the details in for my S40 and it said they were not compatible.

I use a 21" and a 20" combination on my S40, so there is no reason they shouldn't fit.
