Default key fob

Hi All

new owner of XC 70 2010 estate really nice car only a few minor problems the previous owner had a dog in the rear and there is Hairs every where
Most important is when I insert the key message shows low battery so today I have used the second key and no message
could it be the key fob battery requires changing or is it just one of those little quirks any ideas please

Rammer

would also like to get rid of the doggy smell

if you leave the ignition on for any length of time you will get a low battery message , and also if the fob battery is low you get a message but it is more like "key battery low " to distinguish it from the battery low message ..

Wet vacuume cleaner to wash the upholstery and carpets should remove the dog smell. If you don't have one try hire companies.

I was looking to have both my cars valeted to clean the upholstery and carpets, at £50 a time I decided to buy a neumant George wet and dry for £112. Has repaid it's cost many times over.
I use Auto Glyn shampoo, pleasant smell and very effective, grandkids chocolate fingers on cloth seats, years of in ground horse care materials in the landrover carpets, all succumbed to the green deamon.

thank you for the replies ref. dog hairs
The Hairs are mainly in the boot area now I will try grandmothers advice with applying damp cloth and vinegar plus the squeegee method the leather does mell a bit and air fresheners do not last or leave a longer smell

Thanks again
