Best guess is 'not for ages'. No definitive pictures yet, just speculative renderings, the most common of which is here:

The new management is focused on producing a sub-S40 sized Golf rival first. The current XC90 is selling well and generating high margins so I would have thought a new one is at least 2-3 years away.

Interesting, but I don't understand the comment on that website "The Volvo XC90 goes head to head with the Mercedes GL-Class and Audi's Q7".

Both of those are in a completely different price range and from what I have heard the Q7 is like a reverse-TARDIS.

First link looks more like a slightly pumped up XC60...second link story is very interesting. I've only had my 07 XC90 for 3 months but already fancy a newer one...but will be waiting

By that you mean, looks MASSIVE but is actually small inside? My neighbour has just binned his for a new Q5, but they are missing the space.

If you went from an XC90 to a Q7 you would also miss the space

No, Geely group ( Volvo ) have no plans whatsoever to replace the current XC90.

I do not understand why Volvo does not refresh the xc90. Bizarre. It would not cost much to make it look a bit fresher inside out....

looking back at older volvo models the original issue always looks better and more pure than the messed around ones with the possible exception of the 240 and very early 343 .. look at the C30 already , getting very peugeot looking now , and wait until you see the 3rd generation 5 door version !
