C30 D5 Belts etc
Hi. Just signed up, new owner of a C30 D5.
The last 2 mornings have been cold up here and got a slight noise when starting from cold, from reading other threads on here it could be the alternator pulley. Do I also need to change all of the Auxillary Belt, idler and tensioner at the same time? Any recommendations for the parts? Thanks |

If they did the job according to volvos schedule they would have changed the aux belts etc as they must be changed with the cambelt .

Even If the aux belts have been changed when cambelt was done (8k ish ago) and I change the alternator pulley would the belts and tensioners need doing again? I had a quick look at the aux belt and it is not frayed on the edges and on visual is not cracked. Thanks |

Could the noise I am getting on start up be from the tensioners, idler or would this only be from the alternator pulley I am going to change? I think I will change the alternator pulley and replace the aux belt(s). |

Hi, I'm new to this forum, but not to car forums....!
It's not directly related to the D5.....but.... I am about to do a deal on a C30 1.6eDrive, and I would like to know the recommended mileage for the cambelt change on the 1.6 eDrive diesel. The car is a 2010 car. Thanks in advance ! |
