Default Sat nav problem.

Afternoon all. I am the proud owner of a 2007 XC70. Had it a fortnight and love it to bits.
When I bought it there was no RTI dvd but the garage said they’d get me one, which they did. They’ve told me it works as they’ve tested it on another car.
Just been and put the disc in to be informed that it can’t read it, please reinsert. Tried with same result.
Question - is the disc the correct one. It says 2008 (MY08-) but my car is a 2007. Is that the problem? Could I buy a 2018 disc to try or would that be a waste of time?

Thanks for looking. Any help appreciated.

If you have the older model XC70 (PII), then I'd say it's not the same DVD you should use, as fits the 2008-2011 models. From 2012 a hard disk was introduced in the car, and the maps are copied from the DVD to the disk, so you don't use the DVD while navigating.
