Default Newbie S60 D5 Owner....Problem though...

Hi Everyone,

Recently bought a S60 D5 R-Design after having alot of Octavia VRS's, love the car already but my keyless system doesnt work when locking the doors but works on the boot and also the indicators dont flash when ive locked the car either but all doors and boot are shut, just wondering if anyone else has had a same problem?

Many thanks

Hello!

What year is your car?

Mine had similar issues when I first bought it and it turns out to be a known fault. Don't quote me on this but believe it to be moisture ingress. Thankfully, I got mine all completely replaced with new spec parts for free from the dealer under warranty. If you bought yours from a dealership that offers 3 month warranty or whatever, then definitely pull them up on it. It took some concocting for mine, but they did it eventually.

Cheers,
James.

I think there's options in the menu to make activate/unactivate the flasshing indicators on locking. I had two ocassion where I've locked the car and the light didn't go off (mine are set to flash), the 1st time was the boot not porperly closed/fully latched, and the second was the bonnet not properly latched, maybe worth a check.

The keyless issues are a known problem which seems to be related to water ingress. There is a thread on this forum on how to fix but if you bought from a dealer best to take it back.
