I was disappointed given I was quoted around £250 from a standard insurer (Lancaster quoted me around £500 I think) - but it sounds like others have had better experiences. |

Something not to discount on your quest to find your new steed is mileage. These cars do epic miles ( if looked after) one with full service history that has been used regularly rather then one that is a show queen, would be my first choice. Infrequent use is not good for any car, no matter how good the quality is. Don't over look plus 100,000 cars. A good 940 with 140,000 miles can be a better buy then a 60,000 miles show queen. No point in buying / paying over the odds for a car you'll not want to use as a daily drive because its too good.

Classic car insurance is no good for me as my 960 is my daily and I put 10 - 15k miles a year on it.
Still get it for £42 a month with AXA (I'm "only" 28 years old with only 2 years NCD) which includes commuting and business use Cheers

A case in point - out and about in my 1988 760 this afternoon with the girlfriend (first time she's been more than a couple of miles in it) and she commented about how smooth and quiet it is, much better than her 10 year old car she said. Mileage on mine? 223k but it gets looked after.
