Right, as we come to end of the February offer, we understand that a lot of people get paid on the 1st. As such we will extend this by 1 DAY ONLY until 17:30 on Friday 1st March.

The remap does not have to be taken tomorrow, but booked and paid for to qualify for the discount.

These offers don't come around often, so for those interested, tomorrow is your last chance to grab the offer price.

Hello Shark90.
I think i am too late for this but can only ask, offer expired?
I have a V50 2.0D, R Design MY09 version. Standard unit.

I cover approx 800 miles per week, mostly Motorway stuff but not foot down nutter, make good progress.

If the offer is still available (?), i can transfer the funds asap and have the car unto your place next week as im on shifts this week.
Appologies for not findint this post earlier but i was searching for tunning boxes - yuk.

thanks in advance.

Hi...

I know this is quite an old thread and im a new member but here`s hoping for a reply from the guys at shark

i have just bought a 2006 V50 D sport with 142000 miles(90000 motorway miles)and seem to be having issues with limp mode so would like to get the DPF removed and the car remapped.

Could you guys do the DPF removal and remap on my car and if so how much would i be looking at paying for the service at the moment,i live in sheffield so not far from the shark HQ.

cheers
Glenn.

Hi Glenn

Are you sure the limp mode is DPF related?

Stage 1 DPF removal (DPF removal labour, DPF removal software, and performance map for the 2.0D is £739 inc VAT.

It might be worth letting us properly diagnose it first as there might be something else causing the issue, I'd hate for you to come in and have the work done only to find that the problem persists.

Regards

Ben

Hi Ben

Yes its the dpf alright,my mate is the owner of sheffield subaru service and we put the scanner on it after both limp mode instances and it was the same dpf regen code both times,we erased the codes but obviousley it needs doing as it will just get worse.

I have just been in touch with a guy at SLT Remapping here in sheffield who is literally 200 yards away from us and never new they existed, they do the exact same service as you guys so for convenience sake im gonna drop the car round and let them take a proper look before moving forward, thanks for the reply Ben much appreciated.

cheers
Glenn.

Just had a RICA Stage 1 on my 2009, D5, V50 and cannot believe how much of a difference it makes. Amazing, worth every penny.

I agree 100%. I'm at the other end of the diesel scale, 2011 D2 1.6 DRIVe, and had it remapped just after I acquired it in July 2016. My local Volvo independant is a RICA agent but I went for a Viezu map as the guy came to me and had a spare afternoon so did it for £350.
Transformed it. Must make the torque with a D5, which has loads anyway, awesome in a V50.
The torque surge on mine comes in at just under 2,000rpm. Like surfing a wave. Change up at 3,000, drops back to 2,000 and woof back on the curve. Pulls like a train, pleasure to drive.
Mine is still worth getting main dealer services and I have to tell them NOT to plug it in and do the S/W download as it will overwrite the map. They are fine with that. Even knock a few quid off!!
