V70 R AWD Engine

Hi All,

I'm searching for a good engine to put in my V70 R AWD. It was registered in Sept 99, but is a year 2000 model.

The engine is the 2.4 Turbo 265Bhp.

Engine Code : B5244T2

Not really sure why my current engine isn't working, except that it's lost most of its compression on the #1 cylinder. All the standard checks have not revealed what the problem was/is, so don't want to re-build it without knowing. Hence the engine search.

I'm still looking for an engine to put in to my V70 R AWD. Has anybody got a spare one for sale please?

Ideally it would be a B5244T2. 265BHP version. However, I may be able to use any ME7 Turbo engine (2.3, 2.4, 2.5).

The current engine lost compression on the 1st cylinder, but on investigation, the rings are good, the valves are good, the cams are not worn, the head gasket looks fine, infact, for a 140k mile engine, the internals all looked in really good condition. The head is true and tested good for coolant pressure. So I'm not fixing it because I don't know what's wrong with it. Anybody else faced a similar problem, but found the cause?

Needed replacement engine (B5244T2) - Almost fixed :-)! 850 2.5 10v CD (home for lost toys - brilliant and trusty car) XC90 T6 AWD - boy it was fun in the snow...
