Yesterday I replaced passenger side wheel bearing with a new one. The difference is much smoother and quieter running and much easier to hold a straight line on the road.
Bit of a pain as I had to take the hub off the strut a little ways to get to one of the bolts.
Took me 2 and a half hours, with stops for drinks working on the drive with axle stands. Drove it down the A1 from York to Cambridge last night.
Off for alignment now.
Matt

Hi! Is that a P2 car? Separating ball joint and removing CV axle should give a nice clearance to all the bolts. Just undo the bolts a few turns and hit them with a hammer, repeat a few times and out should come the hub.

Default New "downsized" summer wheels

Fitted new "downsized" (from 17 to 16 inch) summer wheels. Brand new summer tires (Hankook) + reconditioned 16 inch Electra rims. Looks a bit weird... I miss my nice 17 inch Interceptors...
However rubber is cheaper, bushes last longer and the ride quality might improve....

Yes, 04 d5 auto, apologies for not stating that in the post. Duh!
Seperating the ball joint would have been easier.

I have just taken delivery of a second exhaust system spec'd as "Volvo V70 2.3 2.4 Turbo TD T5 D5 estate exhaust system silencer *3669" for my 2004 V70 SE 2.3 T5, supplied by Gerlach (https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Volvo-V70...frcectupt=true)
the quality is outstanding and was supplied as a 2 piece cat back system for £130 delivered.

I would recommend this supplier to anyone who wants a 30 month warranty quality system for a V70

Thanks P.B (https://www.ebay.co.uk/usr/exhaust-s...p2047675.l2559)

I'll be putting up the brand new, unused/unfitted three piece system that I bought a few days ago on the sales part of the forum tomorrow once I've taken some photos.
The cost of the three piece system was £107 and included a full fitting kit: they came from the same supplier earlier in the week - the 3 piece cat back system is supplied in a smaller box so it saves £23 extra postage and is way cheaper than anything available in the UK - I'm be looking for around the £107 mark collected for the three piece.
