  • VOC Members: There is no login facility using your VOC membership number or the details from page 3 of the club magazine. You need to register in the normal way

Default auto box oil change

i have a 850 t5 1994 that has done 154k, i want to change the auto box oil, what is the best way to change the oil, if you just drain it i have been told you need 3 litres of oil but the system holds 7,6 litres !! how do i drain all of the oil out ??

Complete instructions are in the repairs section of www.volvospeed.com if you want to do it yourself.

Bargain on using upto 10 litres of ATF and this will thoroughly flush the system incl torque convertor.

or use the procedure in the haynes manual.
I found I didn't need to remove battery, as Haynes suggests, if you remove the splash shield from under the engine and remove the oil return hose from the gear box valve block.
