I recently put on 17 x 8" wheels on the back of my 940 and they fit fine. Yet to try the front as it's also lowered 40mm.

Its likely that you'll need to cut a few threads of your original wheel studs as they will protrude out of the spacer.

I know i had to with my 5x114.3 adapters.

I didn't have that problem, as the wheels I have fitted have small recesses between each stud hole that accommodate the original studs poking out beyond the face of the spacer. If your new wheels have these recesses you will not need to worry, but if not, some alterations will be needed as mentioned...

Hi guys
I had the spacers and wheels fitted today (eventually!) along with 2 new tyres on the rear.
Feels so much more responsive and as the picture shows, doesn't look bad either!
Just a niggle, my front pads are nearly gone, and there was noticeable noise under heavy braking with the old wheels. With the new ones it sounds worse. Is this due to the new heavier wheels? Nothing is rubbing and there's plenty of clearance.
Any ideas?

Cheers
Jonny

Hi,

The correct H&R spacers should be fine. I did 25mm front and 30mm rear as the rear of the 900's is slightly narrower then the fronts.
Worked a treat with Titans.

Des. . .

I chose to have 25mm all round but in hindsight, 30 at the back would have been better! The fronts are bang on level with the arches whereas the rears are still inwards a tad.
Still looks good though and I'm chuffed!
Having new pads and tracking done tomorrow, hopefully that will solve the niggles

Pads were replaced today along with discs as the old ones had a horrible lip which was eating into the pads! Ł200 all in.
Droning noise has gone, and tracking was out by a factor of 6! (-4, should be +2).
Running straight and true and stops like a beast now.

Cheers
Jonny
