Default axle ratio

Hi , desperately need to know the rear diff ratios in this range, looking to as near 2.7:1 as possible. I'm thinking 760 only had these?

I don't think you'll find one that high, highest I know of is 3.31:1.

other usual ratios are 3.54:1, 3.73:1, 3.91:1, can go as low as 4.10:1 on some cars.

I think the nearest you can get is a 3.31:1 , not sure what cars they would be fitted to although there was a start of a list somewhere.
What have you got planned ?

Not quick enough !

According to this table there was a 3.15:1 used in 1983 on the 760 GLE TD.

I also have that ratio in my 1989 240 DL, apparently.

Although I have read bits of the FAQ before I haven't seen that list.
Would that car have the independent rear end ? If so I wonder if the diffs are the same.
If some 240's had them the diff could be swapped into the later casing but you could have problems with the speedo pickup if you need it.
